Spring Fever GlossyBox

This month GlossyBox* have teamed up with the beautz fashionista Pearl Lowe! The box design is inspired by her love of all things vintage.

This box will force you into spring with Beauty Hero brands such as Essie, Nip + Fab and MODELCO!

My fave product this month is Essie's nail varnish in 'Nice is Nice'. I am a big fan of Essie polishes and this one does not disappoint! This beautiful, creamy lilac has just a tint of grey- which makes it very London- spring appropriate! Us LDN folk know how fickle British weather can be right?

Check out my snaps below of this months Spring fever GlossyBox*! Don't forget to tweet your thoughts to them @GlossyBoxUK using the trend #myglossybox

Dry Skin Body Butter in Pastachio- GORGEOUS! I want Mango or Coconut Latte next!

SunSense Daily Face SPF- would use to prime and nothing else.

Cheek and Lip tint in Rosy Red. I'm not really a tint fan- but a touch on your apples if heading to the beach would be cute :)

So Elixir Purple Yves Rocher EDP- Tuberose, Vetiver and Patchouli. NIicccccceeee

Essie's Nail Lacquer in Nice is Nice. It is just that.
On the talons- apologies for bad iPhone pic :)

Essie Summer 2012 Mini Collection

Yes... I'm harping on about this again (I originally wrote about it on my payday wish list post!).

Now, I love the shades- but the longevity of Essie varnishes sucks on my nails. Now matter what I do, I am guaranteed chips by day 2, and this is not acceptable. I always am faithful to my Seche Vite bad and top coat, so let me know whether you have more luck with differing base and top coats.

Now onto the good stuff! I adore these summer time soft shades. They paint on like a dream- smooth, creamy and opaque. My favourite of all is Bikini So Teeny, a beautiful cornflower blue, but the hot pink of Off The Shoulder is a close second.

What do you think of Bikini So Teeny!? How do you find the lasting power of Essie varnishes? Let me know!

This mini 4 set retails for approx £12.00 and I purchased mine from Bentalls department store.

Pay Day Wish List (1)

Pay day tomorrow! *yippee*

In true 'splurger' style, I already know where I want to spend my money before i've earned it. So, here is the rundown on what I NEED to purchase this July.

1. Essie summer 2012 minis quad. I've heard soooo much about 'bikini so teeny' so i checked it out, then decided I need all four of the new shades. I have nothing similar in my varnish collection, promise.

2. Summer/ Beach type fragrance- Thanks to Michelle1218 on youtube, today I discovered Bobbi Brown's 'Beach'. Tomorrow I shall compare this to Estee Lauder's 'Bronze Goddess' and the new Chloe EDP and select which one shall grace my dressing table.

3. Clarins Suncare. I need to stock up on the aftersun with self tanner and the oil free SPF before my annual trip to Portugal. This is obvz a necessity, I wouldn't want to burn now would I?!

What are you going to purchase on pay day? What is on your 'summer beauty want list'? I need to know for future purchase research.

Nail of the Day!

To all my UK readers- I hope you had a fantastic Jubilee weekend and truly relaxed over the extended weekend. To everyone else, I hope you've had a great start to the week.

So since my Tuesday night felt like a Sunday night and Sunday nights are for preening- I gave myself a mini mani, and here are the results!

My mini mani consisted of a cut, shape, pushing back of the cuticles and polish. This week I decided to whip out an old neutral fave- Essie's St. Tropez. A creamy greige, which paint like a dream. I applied Seche Vite as my base and top coat to ensure longevity and off I went. Professional and polished.

Do you like? What's your favourite neutral shade?
